Who we are

RockfordRoofs (“we”, “us”) operates this website, which connects homeowners with independent local roofing contractors. We don’t perform the work ourselves. You can reach us at hello@rockfordroofs.com.

How your request is handled

When you send a request through this site, we forward it to a single independent local contractor who services the area where your property is, so they can contact you about the work. We share your request with one contractor only, not a list of companies, and we don’t sell it.

That contractor is a separate business. Once they receive your request, their own practices govern how they use and keep your information, and any agreement for services is between you and them.

Information we collect

When you fill out a quote or callback form, we collect the details you choose to provide, such as:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The address or town of the property
• The services you’re interested in, details about your roof and any notes you include

Our web server also records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you submitted a form from, to keep the site secure, prevent spam and diagnose problems.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Forward your request to a local contractor who services your area
• Check that the phone number you enter is a valid US number (see APIVoid below)
• Filter out spam and sales pitches, using automated tools including AI (see OpenAI below)
• Keep a record of requests received and where they were sent
• Keep the site secure and working properly

We don’t use form submissions for unrelated marketing.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With one local contractor who services your area, so they can respond to your request
• With service providers that help us run the site (web hosting, email delivery, our database, and the tools listed below), only as needed for them to do that work
• When required by law

Cookies, analytics and third-party tools

We use a small number of third-party tools to run, measure and protect this site. Some of them set cookies or similar technologies in your browser and receive information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you interact with them.

• Google Tag Manager: Loads and manages the other tools below. Privacy policy
• Google Analytics 4: Measures visits, page views and form submissions so we can see how the site is used. Privacy policy
• CookieYes: Shows the cookie notice and remembers your consent choices. Privacy policy
• Cloudflare Turnstile: Checks that form submissions come from a person, not a bot, using browser and device signals. Privacy policy
• APIVoid: Checks that the phone number entered on a form is a valid US number and whether it has been reported for spam or abuse. Privacy policy
• OpenAI: Reviews the text of form submissions to filter out spam and sales pitches before a request is forwarded. Submissions sent through OpenAI’s API are not used to train its models. Privacy policy

We use this information in aggregate to understand and improve the site. We don’t use it to identify you personally.

Your privacy choices

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking cookies won’t stop you from using the site, though forms may need the bot check to complete.

How long we keep it

We keep a record of each request for up to 12 months, then delete it automatically. Security logs about blocked spam are kept for up to 90 days.

Accessing or deleting your information

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. To have the contractor delete your information too, contact them directly or ask us and we’ll pass the request along. Email hello@rockfordroofs.com and we’ll respond promptly.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging roof work and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
